Reptiles of Israel

Reptiles of Israel (Shomrim al Zochalei Ha'Aretz) is an independent Israeli initiative founded by Avi Zobel in 2016. It promotes coexistence with reptiles and amphibians through public education, lectures, wildlife rescue, accessible identification guides, environmental data and awareness campaigns. The initiative works to replace fear and misinformation with accurate, practical knowledge, encouraging people to protect snakes and other misunderstood wildlife. Its projects include Israel's national-snake campaign, reptile and amphibian guides, public snake-capture data and International Toad Day.
