Björn Encke is an economist who has been working as a TV-journalist and as marketing director of a zoo, before he founded Frogs & Friends and later on Citizen Conservation (in cooperation with a bunch of other specialists). As CEO of both NGOs he is member of the board of the ASA (Amphibian Survival Alliance) and of the ASG (Amphibian Specialist Group) of the IUCN.
