Pooja Paudel

Pooja Paudel is an early-career conservationist based in Nepal, currently pursuing her master's degree at the Central Department of Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University, with a specialization in biodiversity and wildlife. Through the Environment Protection and Study Center she works on the conservation of underrepresented species — particularly herpetofauna — and recently led a one-year amphibian conservation project focused on the Mahabharat Torrent Frog (Amolops mahabharatensis). Her practice spans proposal writing, scientific and newspaper articles, and field-based engagement with local communities, driven by the belief that writing about least-prioritized conservation issues is itself a form of advocacy.
