For organizations, not individuals. Supports legally registered NGOs — working with and on behalf of Indigenous Peoples and local communities — to create or expand protected and conserved areas safeguarding Critically Endangered and Endangered species across the tropics. Concept notes accepted year-round (reviewed within 1–2 months); large awards of US$250,000+ have fixed deadlines of 1 March, 1 July, and 1 October.
